成长经历
1987年4月，罗茜出生在英国德文郡普利茅斯，父亲查尔斯是一名特许检验员，母亲菲奥娜是一位健身教练，她是家里最大的孩子。罗茜拥有英国贵族血统，曾祖父赫伯特·汉丁顿·惠特利曾被英国女王封为男爵。
在农场长大的罗茜从小和鸡、鸭、羊、猪、马生活在一起。小时候，她并不自信，以为自己是一只丑小鸭。但很快丑小鸭显出了白天鹅的模样。在学校里，她渐渐成了男生的调情对象。因为爱说话，她被评为“大嘴巴小姐”。13岁那年，又被评为“最有可能成为超级模特的女孩”。罗茜的教练妈妈常穿着好看的衣服，和她坐在一起读时尚或女性杂志。关于模特的想象，大概就是在这时候印进了罗茜心里。

北京时间6月3日消息，据国外媒体报道，导演迈克尔-贝(Michael Bay)近日发布官方消息，欢迎维多利亚的秘密名模罗西-汉丁顿-惠特莉(Rosie Huntington-Whiteley)加入《变形金刚3》(Transformers 3)剧组。现年45岁的迈克尔-贝在个人主页写到：“我希望你们所有人欢迎23岁的英国模特罗西-汉丁顿-惠特莉加入《变形金刚》世界。你们可能已经知道，她将成为《变形金刚3》的新任女主角。在迈克尔执导的《维多利亚的秘密：一件礼物，一千个幻想》(Victoriau2019s Secret “A Thousand Fantasies)的广告中，她曾与导演有过合作。”

根据《每日镜报》在调查中发现，前来观看《变3》的观众多是冲着变形金刚真枪实弹的大战情节来的，对其中的真人戏部分则相对不感冒。有26.7%的观众把最不满意《变3》的一点投给了“真人戏相对太多，无形中挤占了变形金刚的戏份”；也有同样多数的观众把这一票投给了“变形金刚的大战太过混乱，没有预想的精彩。”有超过一半的观众则对片中新晋女主角惠特莉相当不满，认为其“不如梅根·福克斯靓，很失望”。
